We are therefore looking to appoint a highly capable Food Technologist Manager with a proven range of skills and experience to help us achieve our ambitious plans.
The Role Reporting to the Head of Technical and Quality, the role is accountable for providing technical support across all departments, particularly the Marketing and Sales teams, ensuring specifications are correct and maintaining the finished product specification system as well as liaising with external customers as required. The role has one direct report, the Specifications Technologist. The Successful Candidate To be successful in this role, you will need a good understanding of Retailer Specification Systems (FIND, INSPIRE, TQC, ASPECT etc), knowledge of relevant UK & EU Food Legislation, guidelines and retail policies & codes of practice. Knowledge of ingredients, nutrition & factory process methods is also required along with a general awareness of food industry requirements. You will need strong communication and influencing skills, team leadership skills and also be a real ‘team player’ yourself. A thorough approach to work and an eye for detail are required along with strong project management skills, including the ability to plan and manage conflicting priorities. Line management experience is preferred. The Location The role is based at our offices in Banbury which are near junction 11 of the M40, with parking on site, and we are within walking distance of the train station.
