Overall Purpose Day to day responsibility and ownership of Product assembly and daily Warehouse operations.
Day to day responsibility for Health and Safety practices and reporting.
Working closely with the Technical Department maintain “Audit Ready” status as defined by compliance regarding Food Hygiene regulations
Ensure adherence to the Company Quality Systems, working with the QA department to ensure effective monitoring and corrections as necessary
Ensure the Production efficiency is maintained or improved
Ensure that the optimum resourcing level of competent, committed staff are always maintained, identifying requirements and developing resourcing plans for holiday and sickness cover
Maintain Engineers adherence to Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules, ensuring that downtime is minimised
Work with cross functional teams driving product innovation throughout the role’s areas of responsibility
Identify CAPEX requirements and developing full business cases
Successfully deliver CAPEX projects, achieving agreed objectives within budget

Overall Purpose Carrying out all procedures correctly as laid down within the Company Quality Management Systems, including the managing and monitoring of food safety systems. Managing the Quality Assurance Operatives and providing staff training.
Deputising for the Head of Technical and Quality when required
Supporting and co-leading third party and customer audits
Maintaining QMS System and Quality Policies
Management of QA Team
Management and review of:
Internal audits and management schedule
5. Maintaining calibration schedule 6. HACCP team member 7. Issuing concessions – shelf life of products 8. Organising organoleptic panels (daily) 9. Supplier approval process including supplier visits and audits when required 10. Assisting with new product launches and attending NPD meetings when required 11. Attending production trials 12. Completion of sampling matrix to a risk-based schedule for allergens, raw materials, finished products, water and environmental swabs (QA complete tests) 13. Monitoring of lab results and sign off. Investigating and reporting those out of specification 14. Completing traceability tests and mock recalls 15. Day to day management of non-conformances including root cause, corrective and preventative action 16. Providing relevant training to QA and Production and updating training matrix 17. Management of Goods In when issues arise 18. Supporting of Technical Admin with complaint investigations 19. Supporting Head of Technical and Quality with Pest Control 20. Updating production and hygiene paperwork when required
Skills and Knowledgeable Requirements
A good understanding of Retailer Specification Systems (FIND, INSPIRE, TQC, ASPECT etc).
Knowledge of relevant UK & EU Food Legislation, guidelines and retail policies & codes of practice
Knowledge of ingredients, nutrition & factory process methods.
General awareness of food industry requirements.

Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan and manage conflicting priorities
General Attainment/ Qualification Requirments
