  • ​Cake Angels Raspberry & White Choc Cake Mix
  • 80ml water
  • 3 large eggs
  • 130ml vegetable oil
  • A pair of 20cm baking tins
  • 250g butter
  • 500g icing sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp milk
  • A few drops of vanilla extract

To make the cake:
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan oven), Gas Mark 4.
  2. Line two 20cm cake tins with baking parchment.
  3. Empty the chocolate millionaires cake mix into a mixing bowl. Add the water, oil and eggs. Using a whisk, mix to make a smooth creamy batter.
  4. Use a spatula or metal spoon to empty the cake mix evenly into the tins, smoothing the batter out so it goes all the way to the edges of the tins.
  5. Put the tins in the hot oven and bake for 15 minutes, until cooked through. Insert a knife into the centre of the cake, it should come out clean.
  6. Leave to cool on a wire rack.

To make the buttercream:
  1. Cut the butter into cubes, place into a mixing bowl and beat until soft.
  2. Add the icing sugar, cocoa powder, milk then beat until smooth.
  3. Spread generously over the cooled cake.
