Fiddes Payne Japanese Teriyaki Seasoning 100g
The sweet and aromatic taste of Japan
Add the tantalising flavours of Japan to your cooking – great with meat, poultry and fish.
Teriyaki was first created by the Japanese in the 17th century. There is a common misconception that Teriyaki is sauce when it actually refers to the method of slicing meat or fish and cooking it in a thick, sweet sauce. In Japan, Teriyaki is commonly served with fish.
Lightly dust the meat, poultry or fish with the seasoning before placing in hot pan or grill. Add extra seasoning to taste during cooking. Alternatively, make a marinade by mixing a tablespoon or two of the seasoning with just enough vegetable or sesame oil to form a paste. Rup into the meat, poultry or fish and cook. For a more intense flavour, leave to marinate for 45 minutes before cooking. For a tasty twist, why not add to a chicken and vegetable stir-fry.
