Chickpeas and lentils are known to be a good source of fibre and protein, and are not too calorie-dense...
A tasty side dish to any meal and also great on their own.
Serve with some sautéed cauliflower and spinach stirred through, crushed cashew nuts sprinkled on the top and a dash of lemon juice for that warming side dish.
Simple to cook
Squeeze the pouch to separate the pulses, then tear a top corner open by 2cm. Heat on full for 1 min in a 750W / Cat D microwave.
Open carefully, as steam may appear when serving.
Can also be heated in a pan - empty the contents out and stir the pan on the heat until warmed through.
